Our goal is to make the science fair fun and accessible to students of all ages and abilities.

What is AHSEF?

AHSEF is the largest homeschool science fair in the state and also the most rigorous. Every year approximately 100 home school students from Tucson and surrounding communities enter their projects into the fair from preK through 12th grades. For this coming year, we are expanding our reach to allow any home school student within the state of Arizona to participate!

“I have not failed. I've successfully discovered 10,000 things that won't work. ”

— Thomas Edison

Our Mission

Homeschooled students are seriously under-represented when it comes to science fairs. Our mission is to provide support and outreach that will bring students to completion of a science fair project.

AHSEF has seen hundreds of students over the years. Now, heading into our ninth year, we are excited to see all the incredible ideas and inventions that students will bring to the competition in February.
